Lily, fifth in line for the throne, was first in line for food sensitivities. The first six months of this sunny-dispositioned girl’s life revolved around constant stomach issues. Despite trying several other brands and foods, Lily’s tummy was not getting any better.
Dad Jerry did some research and learned about ORIJEN, deciding to try Lily on the Original recipe. The rest, as they say, is herstory. For the past 14 months, Lily has been eating ORIJEN Original, and her stomach is finally as happy as she is.
Recently, Lily began eating a rotational diet, incorporating delicious Six Fish into her diet. Her stomach agrees that the variety and flavour are an excellent addition to her life. Lily is thriving.
“She’s very social,” says dad, Jerry. “Her energy level is perfect for our active family.”
Jerry served as director of Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest, a volunteer organization that rescues and rehomes Golden Retrievers in five midwestern states. He is now an adviser to the Board of Directors of an organization that pairs rescue dogs with veterans suffering from PTSD, and trains them to become service dog teams. His bond with Lily is built upon their airtight connection and their utter trust in each other.
Lily’s busy schedule involves walks, visiting Dad’s work, and dog park dates, so you can see why a happy stomach and lots of energy are vital to her days. When she’s not out and about, Lily likes to nap, play, and cuddle with her family of humans and her feline sister, Moo Moo (who also enjoys an ORIJEN life). She may have had a rough start, but the only issue with her stomach these days is how to fill it with delicious treats.
